SUBJECT: Suspects Sought in Attempted Burglary Investigation

GENERAL NARRATIVE
On July 14, 2021 at approximately 10:30 PM, Kingsport Police Patrol Officers were called to Stonecrest Apartments (formerly known as Model City Apartments), located at 1000 Stonegate Road in Kingsport, in reference to an attempted aggravated burglary.

A resident reported that a black male suspect and a white female suspect, both unknown to her, had knocked on her door and then attempted to force their way into her apartment. The attempt was ultimately unsuccessful and the pair left the scene prior to police arrival.

The suspects were captured on surveillance video, and photos taken from that footage have been included in this release. Anyone who recognizes either of them is asked to contact Detectives in the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
