GENERAL NARRATIVE
On June 14, 2021, just before midnight, a Kingsport Police Patrol Officer made a routine traffic stop on a white 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer as it turned from East Center Street onto Dale Street in Kingsport. While the reason for the initial traffic stop was that the displayed license plate was registered to a completely different vehicle, the Officer soon learned that the Trailblazer had been reported stolen.

Upon further investigation, the Officer determined that both occupants, Jonathan M. Skeen—driver and Natasha R. Cradic—passenger, were fugitives wanted on active arrest warrants out of Wise County, Virginia for extensive dangerous drug offenses. Mr. Skeen also did not have a valid driver license.

Both suspects were promptly taken into custody. Soon thereafter, a K.P.D. K-9 Handler arrived on scene as backup. K-9 Reko, a Belgian Malinois, was deployed and alerted to an odor presence of narcotics around the vehicle.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed over 25 grams of a white crystalline substance believed to be Methamphetamine, a quantity of green leafy substance believed to be marijuana, a variety of different pills (some of which were Suboxone), and assorted unlawful drug paraphernalia to include digital scales, pipes, baggies, straws, rubber tubing, and syringes.

Based upon these findings, both suspects were booked into the Kingsport City Jail on a litany of charges which are itemized below. They have since been transported to the Sullivan County Jail in Blountville where they each remain confined in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
