SUBJECT: K.P.D. Attempting to Locate Stolen Bicycle and Identify Theft Suspect
DATE: September 15, 2020

GENERAL NARRATIVE
On the afternoon of September 9, 2020 a red Trek road bicycle ($1,000 value) was stolen from a vehicle-mounted bike rack while the owner was inside Food City, located at 1205 North Eastman Road in Kingsport.

A passerby provided the included photo, taken of a white male suspect in the act of stealing the bicycle. The suspect appears to have a tattoo on his left elbow and a fixed blade sheath knife on his belt. The stolen bicycle has not been recovered.

Anyone who recognizes this suspect, or knows where the stolen bicycle may be located, is asked to contact Detectives in the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
