SUBJECT: Suspect Sought in Motor Vehicle Theft Investigation

GENERAL NARRATIVE
On August 30, 2020, shortly after midnight, a gold 2001 Chevrolet Malibu was stolen from the parking lot of the Roadrunner Market, located at 1600 West Stone Drive in Kingsport, when it was left running, unlocked, and unoccupied while the owner went inside to make a purchase. The stolen vehicle has since been recovered, albeit with significant damage sustained.

A subsequent investigation revealed surveillance video footage of a white female suspect. A photo of this individual has been included with this release. Anyone who recognizes her is asked to contact Detectives in the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
