SUBJECT: Friendly Annual Reminder that Fireworks are Illegal in the City of Kingsport
DATE: July 1, 2020
GENERAL NARRATIVE
With the Fourth of July taking place this coming weekend, this is just a friendly reminder that, even on Independence Day, fireworks are illegal inside the city limits of Kingsport. The Kingsport Police Department recommends leaving fireworks to the professionals and encourages citizens to instead enjoy an officially sanctioned fireworks show. See below for the City of Kingsport Fireworks Ordinance. Violations of this Ordinance are subject to a $110 fine.
