SUBJECT:		Suspect Sought in Cloned Credit Card Fraud Investigation

GENERAL NARRATIVE
On January 13, 2020 an individual reported to the Kingsport Police Department that his credit card account had been compromised. The victim’s card had been used to make multiple in-person purchases at several local businesses. His original card was still in his possession, so it is believed that his card had somehow been cloned. Three charges had been placed at the Valero gas station and convenience store, located at 817 Lynn Garden Drive, one charge was placed at Tri-Cities Tobacco Wholesale, located at 700 West Sullivan Street, one charge was placed at Dollar General, located at 704 Lynn Garden Drive, and one charge was placed at Dairy Queen, located at 819 Lynn Garden Drive. What appears to be a white male adult suspect was captured on store surveillance video during at least two of these transactions.
