GENERAL NARRATIVE
On November 9, 2019 at approximately 7:45 PM, Kingsport Police Patrol Officers responded to a single motor vehicle rollover crash, involving the possible ejection of at least one occupant, on eastbound Interstate 26 between mile-markers 1 and 2 in Kingsport. Due to the seriousness of the crash, the K.P.D. Traffic Unit has been called to the scene to investigate. The area is currently extremely congested. Area motorists are strongly encouraged to completely avoid the area and seek an alternate route if at all possible. Anyone already in the immediate area is asked to pay attention, use caution, be patient, and obey all traffic instructions as first responders on scene carry out their duties. No additional information regarding the crash itself is available at this time. Further details will be shared as they become available at an appropriate point in the investigation.
