| The following is a reissuance of a previous news release originally sent on May 1, 2019. Joshua A. McConnell is still categorized as a missing person, and there have been no new developments in this case. The Kingsport Police Department will welcome any information to help locate him.
As previously released: On April 20, 2019 Joshua A. McConnell was reported as a missing person to the Kingsport Police Department by his brother. Mr. McConnell has allegedly not been seen or heard from since April 13, 2019 when he was dropped off by a friend at a convenience store near the intersection of Fort Henry Drive at North Eastman Road in Kingsport. He reportedly was supposed to meet an unidentified individual from Bristol (unknown if TN or VA) at that location. Due to information shared with investigators regarding Mr. McConnell’s personal and medical history, there is legitimate cause to be concerned for his health and welfare. Mr. McConnell is a 22 year old white male adult. He stands approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs roughly 140 pounds. He has black hair and blue eyes. At the time of his last point of contact, he is believed to have been clothed in black baggy shorts, a black t-shirt, and black skateboard shoes. Two photographs are included in this release. Anyone who sees him or may possibly know his current whereabouts is asked to please contact the K.P.D.
