||
GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
On February 15, 2019 a suspect was recorded by surveillance cameras in the act of feloniously vandalizing and attempting to break into two vending machines, at Clean Stop Car Wash, located at 1109 East Sevier Avenue in Kingsport.
A few days later, on February 19, 2019, a suspect was recorded by surveillance cameras leaving Walmart, located at 2500 West Stone Drive in Kingsport, after he had gone behind a counter and stolen several packs of cigarettes, concealing them in a shopping bag. In the second instance, the suspect was later seen leaving the scene in what appeared to be a dark blue, late 1990s model, Jeep Cherokee sport utility vehicle. Upon comparing the two video clips, Detectives strongly believe that they are looking at the same individual. Photos taken from the two video clips have been included in this release. Anyone who recognizes him is asked to contact the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. Alternatively, if an individual who is able to supply information related to this or any other case wishes not to be identified, tips can be submitted anonymously via online “Citizen Feedback” forms available at the following link: https://www.kingsporttn.gov/city-services/police-department/contact-us |
