|Claude Ray Snyder has been located safe and sound in another state. He has been removed from NCIC and is no longer considered a missing person.
As previously released:
On September 16, 2018 at approximately 7:45 PM, Kingsport Police Patrol Officers were called to a hotel on West Stone Drive in reference to a missing person. The complainant reported that his roommate, Claude Ray Snyder, had left the hotel to get something to eat the previous morning at approximately 11:30 AM, and never returned.
Mr. Snyder is a 72 year old white male adult, standing approximately 5 feet 10 inches in height and weighing roughly 150 pounds. He is bald or partly balding. He was last seen walking along West Stone Drive wearing a plaid button-up shirt and jeans.
He reportedly has some ongoing health issues that when combined with his age and his failure to return, gave his roommate cause for concern for his overall welfare. The complainant could not provide officers with a photograph of Mr. Snyder, and officers were unable to otherwise locate one.
Mr. Snyder has been entered into NCIC as a missing person. Anyone who sees him or who may have any additional information to help locate him is asked to contact Detectives in the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
