|On the evening of June 27, 2018 a mother reported her adult son, Aaron Seth Duncan, missing to the Kingsport Police Department. Mr. Duncan lives in Abingdon, Virginia; however, he was last seen in Kingsport the previous morning.
Mr. Duncan’s mother reported that on June 26, 2018 at approximately 11:00 AM, her son was riding as a passenger in her vehicle in Kingsport when he became agitated. She stated that he jumped from her vehicle on East Stone Drive near the intersection of Brookside Drive and walked away.
Mr. Duncan’s mother stated that her son is of diminished capacity and that she has guardianship over him. She further explained that he suffers from mental and medical conditions requiring medication. She stated that he did not have his medication with him and she did not know when he last took it.
Mr. Duncan’s family reported being in intermittent communication with him since he walked away, leading them to believe that he may have returned to somewhere in the Southwest Virginia area; however, that has not yet been confirmed and he has not yet been physically located.
A recent photograph of Mr. Duncan has been included in this release. He is a white male adult, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighing 138 pounds. He has short brown hair, brown eyes, and a mustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing dark gray pants, a red hooded sweatshirt, and black Converse athletic shoes.
