NEWS RELEASE
SUBJECT: Previously Reported Missing/Endangered Woman Located Safe and Sound at Local Church
DATE: March 15, 2018
CASE #: 18-007543 (Last Point of Contact)

18-007801 (Missing Person Report)

GENERAL NARRATIVE
On March 15, 2018, shortly before noon, Tasha Lee Grover was located safe and sound at a local church where she had sought shelter. As such, she has been removed from N.C.I.C. and should no longer be considered either missing or endangered.

As previously released:

On the afternoon of March 13, 2018, Tasha Lee Grover was reported as a missing person to the Kingsport Police Department by her boyfriend. He had not seen her since the morning of March 10, 2018 when they were visiting the Kingsport Greenbelt together near the intersection of Industry Drive.

By coincidence; however, a Kingsport Police Officer happened to speak with her later in the evening on that same date outside Allandale Falls Apartments, located at 1000 University Boulevard; therefore, March 10, 2018 at approximately 8:30 PM is being considered the last point of contact.

Ms. Grover and her boyfriend are from South Carolina and have only been in Kingsport a few months. She is currently homeless, has no family support, no source of income, and no means of transportation. Due to these factors, coupled with both an alleged history of drug use and a perceived recent change in mental status, there is legitimate concern for her safety and well-being.

Ms. Grover is a 30 year old white female adult, standing approximately 5 feet 5 inches in height and weighing roughly 120 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. She is believed to possibly be wearing a brown winter coat, blue jeans and brown boots.

She has been entered into N.C.I.C. as a missing/endangered person. Anyone who sees her, comes in contact with her, or has any potentially useful information to help determine her whereabouts is asked to promptly contact the K.P.D. Criminal Investigation’s Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.

Alternatively, if an individual who is able to supply information related to this or any other case wishes not to be identified, tips can be submitted anonymously via online “Citizen Feedback” forms available at the following link:
