| SUBJECT: | Kingsport Police Arrest Man Wanted for Attempted Murder of a Kentucky Law Enforcement Officer | ||

| GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
| On January 27, 2018 at approximately 5:00 PM, Kingsport Police Patrol Officers responded to the 800 block of Granby Road in Kingsport to investigate a report of a suspicious suspect allegedly peering into parked vehicles and soliciting money from citizens.
Upon arrival, Officers located the described individual and positively identified him as Coty A. Savage. A resultant warrant check confirmed that Mr. Savage was wanted on an active outstanding arrest warrant out of Marshall County, Kentucky for the Attempted Murder of a Law Enforcement Officer. Mr. Savage was consequently arrested without incident, charged as a Fugitive from Justice, and transported to the Kingsport City Jail. He is currently being held without bond, awaiting arraignment, and pending arrangements for extradition back to Kentucky. Inquiries seeking additional details regarding the original incident in Marshall County, Kentucky will be referred to that jurisdiction.
