| GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
| On October 5, 2017 at approximately 7:30 PM, Kingsport Central Dispatch was notified by an area medical facility that two adults (an 18 year old white male and a 19 year old white female) had self-transported to the hospital for treatment of what appears to be gunshot wounds. Officers from the Kingsport Police Department’s Patrol and Criminal Investigations Division responded to investigate.
Detectives are in the preliminary stages of what will likely be a lengthy investigation, with many questions, to include the exact location of the actual shooting scene and the circumstances surrounding it, remaining unanswered. As such, no further details can, nor will, be released at this time. Additional information will be released as it becomes available and at the appropriate point in the investigation. |
