SUBJECT:		Suspect Wanted by K.P.D. After Being Identified in Recent LampLight Theatre Burglary

GENERAL NARRATIVE
On the morning of July 5, 2017, representatives of the LampLight Theatre, located at 140 Broad Street in Downtown Kingsport, reported a burglary that had occurred the previous day while the business was closed to the public for the Independence Day holiday. While the precise point and method of entry was not immediately identified, a safe was found to have been stolen. Among other things, the safe contained several hundred dollars in cash, a check for $3,500, and a Lowe’s credit card. Since the burglary, one of the suspects has illegally altered the stolen check, making it payable to himself, and cashed it at an area financial institution. Several purchases totaling over $1,000 have also been fraudulently charged to the stolen Lowe’s credit card. During the ensuing investigation, surveillance video footage was reviewed by several LampLight employees in the presence of Kingsport Police Department Detectives. Multiple employees immediately recognized one of the two suspects in the video as Ridgemond A. Mosley. Mr. Mosley was known to the employees, as he had apparently fallen on hard times and been taken in under their wing in the past. Detectives have obtained a warrant initially charging Mr. Mosley with 1) Burglary and 2) Theft Over $2,500, both of which are felonies. He is currently wanted and still at large. His photograph is included in this release. Anyone who knows his current whereabouts or the identity of a potential accomplice is asked to promptly contact Detectives in the K.P.D.
