| SUBJECT: | Interstate 81 Rollover Crash Results in Road Closure | ||

| GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
| On April 24, 2017 at approximately 12:00 Noon, Kingsport Police Patrol and Traffic Enforcement Officers responded to a serious motor vehicle collision resulting in a rollover on Interstate 81 in the area of mile-marker 64 on the southbound side. The Interstate is currently shut down to allow for a medical transport helicopter landing.
Motorists should make every possible effort to plan an alternate route, and avoid this area altogether for the time being. Anyone already in the immediate area is asked to remain patient and alert, and to follow all traffic directions. Officers are still in the preliminary stages of their investigation. Additional information will be released as it develops. |
