SUBJECT: Multi-Agency Investigation Nets Large Drug and Cash Seizure with Charges Pending

GENERAL NARRATIVE
On April 21, 2016 at approximately 12:30 PM, the Kingsport Police Department Vice and Narcotics Unit, in cooperation with the 2nd Judicial District Drug Task Force, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, executed a search warrant at the home of Gary Armour, located at 1428 Pineola Avenue in Kingsport. This search warrant came to fruition following an extensive multi-agency investigation into unlawful drug activity at this residence.

During the search, investigators located and seized approximately 30 pounds of marijuana, some of which was packaged for resale. In addition to the illegal drugs, nearly $20,000 in cash, believed to be proceeds from prior illegal drug transactions, was located and seized. Two firearms were found in the home and collected as evidence as well. This remains an active ongoing multi-agency investigation with charges pending.
