SUBJECT: Armed Suspect Sought in Robbery of Midfield Market
DATE: April 21, 2016
CASE #: 16-008351
On April 20, 2016 at approximately 10:00 PM, an armed suspect robbed the Midfield Market, located at 1600 Fairview Avenue in Kingsport. The suspect was dressed in black from head to toe and was carrying some sort of long gun. He threatened the clerk, demanded money, and fled with an undisclosed sum.

The suspect appeared to be a white male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches in height, with a slim build. He is believed to have arrived and left on foot. A K.P.D. K-9 Unit was deployed in an effort to locate him; however, that track proved unsuccessful.

The entire incident was captured on surveillance video, with photos of the suspect taken from that footage being included in this release. An actual clip of the surveillance video has been made available for viewing on the K.P.D. YouTube channel via the link below:

Anyone who recognizes him or who may have any additional information which may help Detectives with this case is asked to contact the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
