SUBJECT: Female Suspect Sought in Identity Theft and Debit Card Fraud Investigation

GENERAL NARRATIVE
On the afternoon of February 14, 2016 a white female suspect was captured on surveillance video, fraudulently misrepresenting her identity while using a stolen debit card to make a purchase of $74.64 at Target, located at 2626 East Stone Drive in Kingsport. That same afternoon, the card was used for a second fraudulent transaction in the amount of $109.49 at Best Buy, located at 2716 East Stone Drive.

The owner of the debit card last remembered using the card earlier that day at Food City, located at 300 Clinchfield Street. She was not certain exactly how the card came to be in the suspect’s possession.

A photo of the suspect leaving Target has been included in this release. Anyone who recognizes her is asked to contact Detectives in the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
