|On March 21, 2016 at approximately 6:30 PM, Sandra S. White was reported as a missing person to the Kingsport Police Department by her son. Ms. White has been showing signs consistent with the early stages of dementia; therefore, for the purposes of this investigation, she is being considered endangered.
Ms. White was recently hospitalized at Indian Path Medical Center from March 7 through 11, 2016. Investigators have been unable to account for her whereabouts since her discharge from the hospital on March 11th. There has been no reason developed thus far to suspect foul play; however, due to her advanced age and recent health issues, there is reasonable cause to be concerned for her overall welfare.
She is described as a 72 year old white female, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. She does not usually drive and has difficulty walking without the assistance of a walker or cane.
A recent photo of Ms. White has been included in this release. Anyone who sees her, or who may have any information which would help with this investigation and/or her location is asked to immediately contact Detectives in the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
Ms. White is listed in N.C.I.C. nationwide as a missing endangered person, so if she is spotted outside of Kingsport, any law enforcement agency can be notified. Anyone who sees her is asked to please make every effort to keep her in sight until officials arrive on scene and make contact with her.
