SUBJECT: Suspect Sought in Fraudulent Shopping Spree with Stolen Debit Card

GENERAL NARRATIVE
On the morning of February 20, 2016, an unidentified suspect used a stolen debit card to make two fraudulent transactions at Wal-Mart, located at 3200 Fort Henry Drive in Kingsport. The charges were placed at 5:20 AM and 7:08 AM respectively. Further investigation revealed that additional fraudulent charges were made on this account at the other Kingsport Wal-Mart location, two local Walgreens locations, and an area Dollar General Store. All of the fraudulent charges total nearly $1,500.

The debit card has since been reported stolen to authorities in Bristol, Virginia with law enforcement in that jurisdiction running a parallel investigation into the theft. The suspect was captured on surveillance video during the Wal-Mart incident, and photos taken from that footage have been included in this release.
