SUBJECT: Kingsport Police Searching for Suspect who Rammed Storage Locker with Vehicle to Steal Motor Oil
DATE: June 5, 2015
CASE #: 15-006009
On the morning of March 28, 2015, Kingsport Police Patrol Officers responded to Quality Oil, located at 841 East Stone Drive in Kingsport, in reference to a burglary that had occurred during the previous night. The investigation determined that an unknown suspect used a vehicle to repeatedly ram and eventually break into a metal storage locker in the parking lot. The suspect then stole over $500 worth of assorted motor oils, brake and power steering fluids, wiper blades, and gas cans that had been stored in the locker. The locker, worth an additional $500 by itself, was damaged beyond repair.

Surveillance video revealed that the suspect appears to have been driving a gold colored compact 4-door sport utility vehicle that is believed to be a Honda CRV. A photo of the suspect’s vehicle has been included in this release. A clip of the video footage has been made available for viewing on the K.P.D. YouTube channel by visiting the following link:
