|On March 5, 2015 at approximately 11:45 AM, Kingsport Police Patrol Officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at Kmart, located at 1805 East Stone Drive in Kingsport. Upon arrival, the officers spoke with a loss prevention officer who had detained Quashanda J. Wolfe after catching her in the act of shoplifting merchandise.
Ms. Wolfe had used a pair of wire cutters to sever a security tether attached to a counter-top jewelry display case. She had then placed the entire case into a shopping cart and exited the store without paying for anything. The case contained 37 pairs of gold earrings, valued at $249.99 each. The case itself had a value of approximately $200. The total value of stolen merchandise was nearly $10,000.
Ms. Wolfe was arrested for Theft over $1,000 (Felony Shoplifting) and Vandalism and transported to the Kingsport City Jail. She has since been released on bond.
