SUBJECT: Detectives Searching for Suspect in Electric Shopping Cart Theft

GENERAL NARRATIVE
On October 16, 2014 at approximately 7:45 AM, a white male suspect stole an electric shopping cart with a value of $2,500 from Food City, located at 300 Clinchfield Street in Kingsport. While en route to the scene, a Kingsport Police Patrol Officer located the abandoned cart in the alley that runs behind the 400 block of West Center Street.

The suspect was recorded on store surveillance video, and photos taken from that footage have been included in this release. The actual footage has been made available for viewing on the K.P.D. YouTube channel via the link below:
