SUBJECT: Suspect Arrested After Swiping Cash from Restaurant Register
DATE: March 25, 2014
On March 25, 2014 at approximately 2:15 PM, a white male suspect entered Molcajetes Mexican Grill, located at 1504 West Stone Drive in Kingsport. The suspect asked an employee for change; however, when the employee opened the register, the suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the drawer and fled the restaurant in a gray Ford Mustang.

Moments later, Kingsport Police Patrol Officers located the suspect’s vehicle parked nearby, outside a mobile home, located at 1236 Fairview Avenue. Timothy Jacob Gardner, was apprehended at this residence and positively identified as the culprit in the crime.

Mr. Gardner was arrested for Theft Under $500 and transported to the Kingsport City Jail.
